xxxxxx,

The DeSanits administration is racking up quite a tab as they attempt to defend their unconstitutional laws on the taxpayer’s dime. All to wage legal battles to propel their culture wars that seek to divide people, instead of bringing people together.

DeSantis is getting headlines and riling up his base with these frivolous lawsuits — which is exactly what he wants. But as Florida taxpayers, we are all on the hook for paying these mounting legal bills. They’re even outsourcing the massive legal expenses to out-of-state law firms, because our current Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody apparently can’t do the job.

Miami Herald: When Florida’s culture wars end up in court, DeSantis may win, but taxpayers lose

"Every time we turn around, the captain of Florida’s culture wars and his far-right positions are landing us in court… Florida has paid as much as $675 an hour to lawyers to defend some of the new laws. In the Big Tech social-media case alone, the state has paid more than $677,000 to a Washington, D.C., law firm… And all the time, we’re the ones paying the bills. As an additional insult to taxpayers, some of this litigation means our money is being used to defend laws that restrict our rights."

While Ashley Moody has failed the people of Florida and refuses to do her job, I can. I have the legal experience necessary to do the job that our attorney general refuses to do, hold the DeSantis administration and corporate polluters accountable for their harmful actions, and end the waste of our taxpayer dollars as they wage these extreme culture war battles in court.

xxxxxx, that’s why I’m asking if you can make your first contribution right now to help provide the resources our campaign needs to get our message out to voters across Florida? If I can’t count on your support, we don’t stand a chance in this can’t-lose election. Daniel is running for Attorney General because for the last 4 years, the Florida Governor and Attorney General have been more interested in bullying those they don’t agree with than helping Florida families. It is time someone finally stood up to the bullies. Daniel is the person to do just that — donate now to help power his campaign to hold Ron DeSantis and Ashley Moody accountable![[link removed]]
