Last night, the committee investigating the January 6 insurrection began laying out their findings, and the information they revealed is even more sickening than I imagined.

I got chills watching the previously unaired footage of the violent mob viciously attacking law enforcement and desecrating our Capitol. Officer Caroline Edwards’ brave testimony about the carnage was especially heartbreaking.

The new information presented confirmed that this was a well coordinated assault on our democracy, with Donald Trump at the center of the conspiracy.

But we can’t forgive those who were complicit in this conspiracy. 139 House Republicans voted against certifying the election, just hours after the mob was cleared from the Capitol.

Their dishonor will remain.

The committee made it clear that this conspiracy didn’t end on January 6. It was just the beginning of an ongoing threat to our democracy. We must remain vigilant and stop these traitors from taking back Congress this November.
