Friend,

Where did you first learn about voting? Was it in government class? Or U.S. History? Maybe you asked a friend, parent, or neighbor why they wore the signature 'I voted' sticker.

At some point, we are all introduced to voting! It's one of our country's most foundational principles, and while knowing you can vote at 18 is the first step towards a life of civic engagement, it can be difficult to know how, when, or where you can make your voice heard.

Our campaign has been committed to civic education since the beginning. With the arrival of Republican primary ballots across the state this week, I want to provide you with all the information you need to become a confident and effective voter!

Before you fill out your ballot or head to the polls, it's important to remember that any vote is a good vote! Even if you only vote in the U.S. Senate race, your voice makes a difference.

With all of the state and local races happening this year, taking a moment to learn about your local candidates and thoroughly filling out your ballot can make a big difference for your community—and it's easier than you think!

You can learn more about the elections happening in your area here ([link removed]) and find local voter guides by following our civic education thread ([link removed]) on Twitter! Any vote is a good vote, but an educated vote is better.

With that, here's what you need to know for the upcoming primary on June 28th:

HOW?

Utah has a closed Republican primary. That means only registered Republicans are allowed to vote in the primary election. New and unaffiliated voters can affiliate online at vote.utah.gov ([link removed]) until June 17th and in-person until election day, June 28th.

If you register or affiliate online, the last day to request a mail ballot is June 21st by 5 pm. To register or affiliate in person, please bring at least two forms of identification to your polling location.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Mail-In Voting

Republican primary ballots began arriving in mailboxes on June 7th. If you have already received your ballot, fill it out and mail it back as soon as possible! Don't put it aside with the rest of your mail; instead, go for one-touch voting: receive your ballot, fill it out, and put it back in the mail.

The last day to mail your ballot back is June 27th, just one day before the primary election. If you prefer to use a secure ballot drop box, you have until 8 pm on election day to drop off your ballot. You can find your county's drop box locations here ([link removed]) .

In-Person Voting

Election day is Tuesday, June 28th, but each county has designated a minimum of four days for early voting the week before election day! You can find your county's early voting and election day polling locations here ([link removed]) .
While serving in the Utah House of Representatives, I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Five times, I committed to protecting your right to vote. I believe that every Utahn deserves a voice, and not only should voting be easy, it should be exciting!
The chance to vote in a U.S. Senate race is rare. Every six years, we have a chance to make a change, but this year, we have an especially unique opportunity to bring better leadership and better solutions to Washington D.C.

Utah deserves a Senator who will show up for Utahns, do the work, and get things done. When the time comes for you to fill out your ballot or head to the polls, I know you'll make your voice heard, and I humbly ask for your vote.

As always, thank you for your support.
