Big news John. . .

In a few days, the Center for American Liberty is taking another major step to protect your constitutional right to religious liberty and religious assembly.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY <<

Remember Reverend Patrick Mahoney?

He’s the pastor from Washington D.C. who’s repeatedly been denied the right to gather, freely pray, and worship in public – specifically, on Capitol grounds.

Well thanks to your support, my team and I are taking on the United States Capitol Police Board in court for unconstitutionally denying him – and in a sense folks like you – the right to gather and pray outside the U.S. Capitol.

But so far, the battle has been tough.

You see, the U.S. Capitol Police Board created a policy that prohibits all gatherings of 19 or more people outside of the Capitol UNLESS a member of Congress requests that an event be allowed.

In other words, without the support of Nancy Pelosi, AOC, or other members, Americans like you and I cannot gather outside the Capitol to peacefully protest.

It also means that Rev. Mahoney’s repeated attempts to host prayer vigils outside the Capitol have been denied.

You and I both know that members of Congress were never intended to yield this much power…

…where they can deny Americans’ First Amendment right to gather and pray.

That’s why we’re continuing to zealously advocate for Rev. Mahoney in this case and tomorrow will be filing supplemental briefing to the court.

In a few months, Reverend Mahoney is planning to host two more prayer vigils at the United States Capitol.

Both prayer vigils, the first in September and the second in October, are to pray for the November elections.

You’d think that praying for unity, peace, and God’s direction would be welcomed by any sensible American, regardless of what party they vote for.

Apparently not.

Reverend Mahoney and his parishioners have been DENIED the right to pray for our country a handful of times over the past few years.

And that’s why I need you John.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on you to help us win these critical court battles and protect all of our First Amendment freedoms.

So, if you’re able, please consider helping us defend Rev. Mahoney’s right to pray—your right to pray—by sending a generous gift of any amount right away.

P.S. Like I mentioned, our legal actions against the U.S. Capitol Police Board are critical to protecting your right, my right, and the right of every American to freely exercise their constitutionally guaranteed right to religious liberty.

How is it right that a group of government bureaucrats decide who gets to exercise their basic freedoms and who doesn’t?

The simple answer is… it’s not.

But again, the only way we’ll have a chance at securing that crucial victory is with your help.

Please continue to support the Center for American Liberty with a tax-deductible gift of any amount today.
