Happy World Oceans day!
Today is a day to reflect on the conservation of our environment and the steps we can take to protect our oceans, our climate, and ultimately our future. Sadly, conservative politicians have decided that lining their pockets is more important than saving our environment. We wanted to highlight just some of the ways that the members of the Treason Caucus and their friends have contributed to the destruction of our environment:
Donald Trump "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive"
Throughout his entire presidency, Donald Trump peddled backward and sometimes racist conspiracy theories about climate change and the world we live in. He took the United States out of the Paris Climate agreement and let big corporations do whatever they wanted without regard to how it could affect our environment.
Paul Gosar
Simply put, the big oil companies have Paul Gosar in their pocket. He has been named one of "Big Oil's Capitol Hill Allies," and his voting record reflects that.
In his time as an elected member of Congress, Gosar has had the opportunity several times to vote for policy related to environmental conservation, but with a score of 0% from the League of Conservation voters, he has clearly never thought of protecting our environment in his life.
It's up to us to protect the world we live in, here are just a few steps we can take to do that in 2022:
>Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
>Plant a garden in your backyard!
>Choose sustainable options and shop secondhand.
>VOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND WILL PROMOTE POLICIES THAT WILL NOT DESTROY OUR ENVIRONMENT BY LINING THE POCKETS OF BIG CORPORATIONS.
We only have one world, and we can't let the Treason Caucus destroy it. Help us unseat them in November:
