Dear John,

We can make a difference in gun violence in North Carolina, but we have to come together to demand it. This Saturday, we can do just that.

In the aftermath of the Uvalde tragedy, we know we need to keep up the public pressure to push lawmakers to commit to passing life-saving laws, like funding Community Violence Intervention programs. That’s why we’re a part of this Saturday’s March for Our Lives Raleigh, so we can continue to grow to prevent gun violence throughout the state.

NCGV Action Fund supporters and community partners have been leading the call for Community Violence Intervention programs for years. Now is the time to act: our elected officials deliberating the state budget this summer are feeling the pressure of communities demanding change, and we won’t let up.

John, our youth and our communities can’t wait. Almost twice as many North Carolina kids and teens died by guns in 2020 compared to 2019. Together, we can turn the tide. Join the movement Saturday, June 11th at 10 AM at Halifax Mall, 300 N Salisbury St in Raleigh.

See you on Saturday,

Becky Ceartas

Executive Director, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence Action Fund

PS: We’ll win change one conversation and one relationship at a time. Can you join me to table at the event? Even if you’ve never done something like this before, your time and voice would be valuable. Email me directly at [email protected] if you’re interested.
