New Orleans DSA - Update

Hey Y’all,

We are just a few weeks away from our Annual Chapter Convention on Saturday the 25th at Noon! Convention is where we elect new chapter leaders, make key decisions about the political direction we want to go in, and amend our bylaws. This is the biggest event of the year and it is essential to being a democratic, membership driven organization!

Before anything else, make sure you’ve signed up for DSA before the start of Convention to ensure your eligibility to vote and participate! You can Register for the Zoom call HERE and there will be an in-person component at  First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans at 2903 Jefferson Ave.

The Convention Planning Committee will be mailing all of our members an informational packet in the coming week with bylaw amendments and resolutions, the process for electing new leadership and more. If you prefer to receive this information online and help us save on paper you can RSVP for convention and opt out of a mailer HERE. To learn more you can also check out our Convention 2022 Convention Hub.

If you have any questions, please let us know! We want to hear from you, and we want everyone to feel equipped and empowered to participate in this process. You can reach New Orleans DSA chapter leadership at [email protected]

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].

Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
