Hey John, this is Abby's husband, Daniel, writing to you. When we got married back in 2020, it was one of the biggest days of our lives.

But today's a big one, too; in fact, it's the most critical moment yet in our campaign to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R): Abby's primary election.

As voters are heading to the polls, our campaign is firing on all cylinders – meeting voters everywhere to make the case for why Abby is the best candidate to defeat Sen. Grassley and expand our Democratic majority. We're at the doors, we're online, we're on TV. The stakes for defeating a vulnerable incumbent like Sen. Grassley – and electing someone like Abby – couldn't be higher.

Sen. Grassley has fought his entire career to overturn Roe v. Wade, and he's on the cusp of making it happen.

He's stood by the gun lobby and been supported by hundreds of thousands of dollars in spending from them as gun violence has ripped apart our country.

He's embraced the extremism of his party, even standing on stage here in Iowa with Donald Trump to proudly accept his endorsement. (And that was after he defended the former president trying to use the DOJ to overturn the election.)

It's no wonder that nearly two-thirds of likely Iowa voters said they don't want to reelect Sen. Grassley. 

Abby is the candidate that can beat him.

I watched her flip a House seat from red to blue and become the youngest woman to pass legislation through the House – in the middle of a government shutdown! Abby is everything that a leader should be: caring, passionate, hard-working, determined and ready to sit down and talk with anyone regardless of their party. She'll be a senator who won't let the filibuster stand in the way of urgent action to address gun violence, protect reproductive freedom and defend voting rights.

But first, we need to cross the finish line today. With voters heading to the polls, our campaign has got to keep meeting Iowans where they are across all 99 counties.
