My name is Sara Nelson. I am a flight attendant and the International President of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA where I represent nearly 50,000 flight attendants at 18 airlines in the fight for a voice on the job, fair wages, working conditions, and job security.
Since 1996, I have been a flight attendant for United Airlines. I began my career as a flight attendant in Boston. It is also where I began my work in labor organizing.
Massachusetts holds a special place in my heart. It’s where I first learned about the power of solidarity and what we could accomplish working together through a union.
