As Florida’s next attorney general, it will be my job to protect the people of Florida, and hold Gov. DeSantis and the Republican-led legislature accountable for their actions. I will not be acting as the governor’s personal attorney waging culture wars in court that waste all of our tax dollars.

If the laws passed by our Republican-led Legislature are not constitutional, I will challenge them. If you face predatory practices, I will fight to protect you. If corporate polluters damage our environment, I will hold them accountable. And I will always put the people of Florida first, above all else.

In addition to standing up to bullies and holding corporate special interests accountable, I’m committed to protecting the civil rights of all Floridians. I was the first non-minority member of the Okaloosa County Branch of the NAACP, and earned the NAACP’s Foot Solider in the Sand Award for my work as an attorney. And I will do everything I can to ensure that every Floridian’s rights are protected with the full power of the Attorney General’s office.

I will ensure the Florida Constitution’s right to privacy is not violated by unconstitutional abortion bans. I will crack down on price-gougers and scam artists who prey on our senior citizens. And I will protect workers from unfair employment practices.

The people of Florida need and deserve a real attorney general who fights for them, not a political hack who is a rubber stamp for the extreme agenda of Gov. DeSantis and the Republican-led state legislature. But in order to protect you as your next attorney general, I need to know what challenges you are facing.
