We expect the Supreme Court to issue their official ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the case that could overrule Roe, sometime this month. Because of last month's leak, we know what to expect: the Supreme Court will overrule Roe v. Wade. That means that the state legislature will be our last line of defense for abortion in North Carolina. We must elect pro-choice, progressive women to stop anti-choice Republicans from regaining a supermajority and protect Governor Cooper's veto power.
We're proud of Featured Candidates Reps. Carla Cunningham, Marcia Morey, and Julie von Haefen and Sens. Natasha Marcus and Natalie Murdock for introducing bills in both the NC House and Senate to codify the protections of Roe v. Wade here in NC.
