I wanted to make you aware of proposals to De Havilland Way which will have an impact on Blackrod, Westhoughton, Horwich, Lostock and beyond.

I’m not sure these are the optimum changes to the road layout, but it is clear that we need significant improvements. Personally, I think the biggest improvement to the weight of traffic on De Havilland Way would be the delivery of junction 7 on the M61. I have previously raised this with Bolton Council and will highlight to them that they need to work with Chorley Council, Lancashire County Council and Highways England to get this project delivered.
