I’ll keep this short and sweet. Our end of month deadline is coming up at MIDNIGHT tonight, but we’re still $2,370 shy of hitting our goal.

If we don’t hit our fundraising goal for May, we’ll have to start making tough budgeting decisions. That could mean reaching fewer voters before Election Day. With the Republican Governors Association targeting Rhode Island this year and our wealthy Republican opponent already up on TV, that’s not a risk I want to take.

Remember: Rhode Island has only elected ONE Democratic Governor in the past thirty years. With women’s rights in jeopardy, a public outcry for sensible gun legislation, and our pandemic recovery still in progress, maintaining Democratic leadership in the state house is more important than ever.

We already know this is going to be a tough race, and it’s critical that we have the resources to communicate directly with voters about Governor McKee’s accomplishments and vision for the state’s future. If we don’t hit our May goal by midnight, we risk falling behind.

Governor McKee has strong support among organized labor and has earned support from municipal leaders, small business owners, and working families across the state. I hope he has earned your support, too.
