Today marks 23 weeks to Election Day and it also marks our end-of-month deadline!
Our team is working hard to make sure we reach our fundraising target by the end of the day, and every contribution — no matter how big or small — helps.
If you can contribute, we’d really appreciate it! [[link removed]]

We know many are still reeling from the shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde. We are, too.
Mass shootings have become an all-too-often occurrence in our country. Every time another happens, it’s a tragic reminder that our work together is vital and urgent. The way forward is electing leaders who will advocate for common-sense gun safety reforms.
That’s Lizzie. She’s advocated for solutions to gun violence since before entering Congress. In office, she’s fighting for stronger background checks and regulations on devices that convert guns into high-capacity weapons that are more dangerous and deadly.
Lizzie’s work on gun violence has been recognized with endorsements from the Brady Campaign and Giffords and the 2022 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction.

We’re so proud to work with a principled leader who always stands up for what’s right. Lizzie won’t let up on this issue until Texans get the change they’re demanding.
Last week, Lizzie was part of a Community Conversation on Public Safety and Hate Crimes.
“People across our community and across the country are concerned about safety in our communities and the developments we’ve seen in recent years. We’ve seen an alarming rise in crime generally and we’ve seen a really frightening rise in hate crimes specifically. We know these events are on the rise, but we also know that bigotry and hatred more broadly are on the rise again in our country.”
- Rep. Lizzie Fletcher

Lizzie and the other panelists discussed the importance of recognizing these hateful acts, reporting them, and addressing them head-on to keep our communities safe. Lizzie voted for the American Rescue Plan — which included funding for the One Safe Houston program and its efforts to combat hate crime — and the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, which specifically targets hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
The Texas primary runoff was last week and we have a great ticket for the general elections this November!
From races for governor and state legislature to our race for TX-07 and other critical House contests, there are important elections happening up and down the ballot this year that will have an impact on the future of our state and our country. We need everyone to stay involved from now until November to help elect leaders who will champion our values at every level of government.
Thanks for being a part of the team,
Team Lizzie
