A few years ago, it would have been unthinkable that a sitting president would have agreed and even encouraged the murder of the man he once called his "second in command." But the onset of the Trump presidency changed the game and let us all know that America is not the haven of democracy it once was. But it can be, John. We have to rise up, seek change, and elect leaders who will defend American democracy.

For generations, people have risked everything seeking refuge on American shores to escape the very same sort of political violence that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 – and was encouraged throughout most of the Trump presidency. It's time to hold people accountable, unseat the Treason Caucus, and once again elect leaders who will honor and serve the American people.
