John,
In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in to help us hit our May fundraising goal... but I want to share with you why I’m running. [[link removed]]
I’m a lifelong Rhode Islander, born and raised in Cumberland. That’s where I met my wife Susan, where we raised our family, and where we still live today.
When I took office last March, COVID-19 presented the most challenging public health and economic crisis in a generation and our vaccination programs were still in early stages.
Now, for the first time, Rhode Island is first out of an economic recession. We are leading the nation in vaccination rates, and we’re #1 in the Northeast for economic recovery. I’m happy to report that our unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been in 30 YEARS .
I’m proud of the momentum we've built together this year. We are laying the foundation to make Rhode Island a better place to live, work, and raise a family, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. [[link removed]]
We have a once in a generation opportunity to create a brighter future for all of us – with a stronger, more equitable economy. I’m running for re-election to capitalize on our momentum and set Rhode Island up for long-term success. [[link removed]]
Our budget illustrates my priorities: We are making major investments to continue growing the economy, improving our schools, supporting small business, combating climate change, and tackling the housing crisis. [[link removed]]

I’m running to create jobs, raise wages, and support small businesses.
I’m running to make sure Rhode Island’s economy keeps bouncing back.
More than anything, I’m running to give the next generation of Rhode Islanders a better future . [[link removed]]
But first we have to win this race. While our wealthy opponents are bankrolling their own campaigns, my team is counting on support from folks like you.
Our end of month deadline is coming up TONIGHT at midnight, but we’re still $6,309 shy of where we should be right now. [[link removed]] Hitting these benchmark goals are critical to keeping us on track for our campaign budget – I would really hate to have to cut any of our voter outreach efforts this close to the primary.
Can you pitch in $25, $50, $100, or any amount you’re able to make sure we hit our May fundraising goal by midnight? Even $5 or $10 will help us close the gap. [[link removed]]
I’m the only person in this race with a strong coalition of support from organized labor, municipal leaders, business owners, and working families from each of our 39 cities and t owns.
As long as we have the resources to communicate with voters – on the ground, online, and over the airwaves – I’m confident that we’ll win this race.
I hope we can count on your support!
Thank you,
Dan
