We are still processing all of the news from this week. Our hearts break for the loved-ones going into the long holiday weekend overcome with grief. No parent deserves to experience these unbearable losses and that’s exactly why we need to elect empathetic leaders to push for gun safety and common-sense legislation that will protect our most vulnerable community members.
The tragedy in Uvalde, Texas reinforces what we know about the GOP and the priorities of their apathetic leaders – and it is not the safety of our families nor the lives of our children.
Domestic extremist attacks, arrests, and plots have tripled in the U.S. over the past decade. Children practice active shooter drills at school and people fear for their lives in places of worship, at the movies, at the grocery store. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can elect Democratic leaders who will fight the gun lobby and free us from the chokehold they have on politics.
At A Woman’s Place we believe:
➡️ Our second amendment right does not include the right to purchase or own military-grade assault weapons.
➡️ Congress members must refuse any support from groups like the National Rifle Association (NRA) and commit to protecting our children, families, and neighbors
➡️ All members of Congress must take swift action to prevent another mass shooting.
Our second amendment right does not include the right to purchase or own military-grade assault weapons. Do you agree, John? Help our team support Democratic women ready to protect our families before our end-of-month deadline this Tuesday. [[link removed]]

We know that gun violence stretches far beyond those killed and wounded, harming the well-being of survivors, their families, and entire communities. Our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by these violent acts of hate – you and your loved ones deserve better.
Our organization is committed to putting our money behind Democratic women running for office who have what it takes to go up against the National Rifle Association (NRA), far-right candidates, and gun violence itself.
We need you to join us,
A Woman’s Place
The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
