With gas prices over four dollars a gallon nationwide, and with a global oil shortage choking economies across the world, the Biden administration has seen fit to cancel high profile lease sales for drilling in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.
Why? What possible good does it do the American people to halt even the possibility of more domestic production? This is what comes from Democrats’ shortsighted and ideological energy policies, and we’re all going to pay for it.
What we need now is more American production, not less. The administration should not only move forward with this lease sale, but all of the lease sales it has stalled from the start of President Biden’s term.
Sadly, I doubt the Biden administration will do any such thing. The Democratic Party is too enamored with environmentalist ideology to ever treat the energy sector as anything but the enemy.
