TYLER HARPER WINS REPUBLICAN NOMINATION FOR GEORGIA AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER
OCILLA - TonightState Senator and 7th generation South Georgia Farmer Tyler Harper secured the nomination to be the state's next Agriculture Commissioner. Harper, who successfully qualified without Republican opposition, now heads into the general election with advantages in resources, fundraising, name ID, and grassroots support—and is in a strong position to win in November. Following his victory, he issued the following statement:
Tyler Harper said, "I am extremely honored to be the Republican Nominee for Agriculture Commissioner of the great state of Georgia. For the past year, we have been crisscrossing this state, meeting with voters, and sharing our message directly with communities from Blue Ridge to Bainbridge and everywhere in between. As a 7th generation farmer, ABAC & UGA alumnus, State Senator and small business owner, my entire career has been about fighting for our farmers, producers, and consumers in this state—and that’s exactly the experience and record I’ll bring as your next Commissioner of Agriculture. From delivering broadband access to our rural communities, suspending the gas tax to provide relief for consumers, passing the Freedom to Farm bill to empower our farmers, putting Agricultural Education in the Elementary School classrooms to invest in the next generation of agriculture, or helping pass the largest tax cut in state history—we’ve been able to deliver for Georgia families. I’m confident that we have the experience, record of results, and positive vision to lift up our state’s number one industry–and that’s exactly what we’re going to do as our state’s next Commissioner of Agriculture.

Again, thank you to everyone for their support, encouragement, and vote of confidence. We are going to keep working hard every day ahead of November–and together, secure a big win for every farmer, producer, and consumer in this state as your next Commissioner of Agriculture. God Bless, and on to November!"
