As the summer heats up and energy demand increases, power grids from California to the Carolinas are already strained.
This is because intermittent energy sources are failing to make up for the shortfall left by the global energy shortage. This is what happens when our energy policy is predicated on ideology instead of reality.
Our energy crisis could have been prevented, if President Biden had only kept in place the common sense measures that the Trump administration took to grow domestic production and secure American energy independence.
But on day one, President Biden canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline, stopped new leasing on federal lands, and installed new and unrealistic emissions regulations.
All of this contributes to why gas prices are well over four dollars per gallon and the stresses on our energy grid. This needs to end.
