There’s a big debate next week, the only televised debate of this mayoral primary election. This is a crucial opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates but Mayor Bowser is refusing to confirm her attendance. 

I’m attending every debate, because I believe the voters deserve to know where I stand on the tough issues. Unfortunately, it’s clear the Mayor doesn’t feel the same way. She has missed debates on education, homelessness, domestic violence, and she even missed a debate on LGBTQ+ issues to attend a fundraiser. Clearly, she doesn’t think she can defend her record when asked the hard questions.

She thinks she can win this election by ignoring the tough issues and refusing to face voters. Help us show her she’s wrong by chipping in today so we can keep reaching new voters and win this election on June 21.
