John,
I’m thrilled that I was able to travel to Pittsburgh on Tuesday to witness firsthand the launch of the next rising Democratic superstar, John Fetterman!
By now, you probably know that John was unfortunately unable to attend his own victory party, but that did not stop the crowd from celebrating, led by another rising star – John's wife, Gisele Barreto Fetterman.

First and foremost, Gisele assured us John was okay, resting, and would soon be back to 100%.
Once that was out of the way, we turned our attention to the results … and Pennsylvania Democrats were not messing around – they overwhelmingly voted for John! As the results trickled in, county-by-county, our cheers just kept getting louder and louder.
Then it was time for the speeches, and this was the part that folks at home watching on TV likely didn’t get to see.
First, we heard from two of John's biggest supporters, George Trudel and Naomi Blount, who moved the crowd with the story of how John transformed their lives.
George and Naomi were both wrongfully sentenced to life in prison for murders they did not commit. They had served a combined 68 years in prison and had begun to lose any hope of regaining their freedom when they unexpectedly received letters from Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman saying their cases were being reviewed. It was the first time any public official had taken notice of their cause.
In his role as Chair of the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, John had launched an investigation into questionable convictions and made the identification and release of those wrongfully imprisoned a top priority.
That led to George and Naomi getting to go home to their families. Not only that, John gave them both jobs – he hired them to assist inmates across the state with the commutation application process.
The joy in both of their faces as they spoke glowingly about John could not be overlooked, and the crowd took notice. Prior to their speech, I admit that I was unaware of just how hands-on John has been with regard to transforming the pardons process in Pennsylvania, but I’m not surprised at all. He is a man who lives his life to serve others.
Not just him though – many, maybe even most people in the crowd were there to celebrate with Gisele because they volunteer with her at her non-profit. (It was actually non-profit work that first introduced John to Gisele.) They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep, so if the crowd at John’s victory party was anything to go by, John and Gisele are very kind, giving, and unselfish!
For the main event, Gisele took the stage and the crowd went wild. I have to admit – it made me want to talk to her about running for office herself. We Democrats need more of that kind of energy!

Gisele shared a few stories from the campaign trail and told us why John was running for Senate. She talked about the struggles that come with running for office and the small victories each day that make it all worth it. I left the party that evening fired up by her speech, and I know I wasn’t alone in that.
We are going to do everything we can to help John win, and I know you will, too.
We still don’t know who John is going to be facing in November, but whoever it is will be propped up by corporate super-PACs, the MAGA mob, and the radical right-wing media circus.
The lies about John and his family are already pouring into Pennsylvania, and we at No Dem Left Behind are going to have John's back, but we need your help to do it.
We have just 6 months to win this vital seat, so I am asking you today to help us reach out to every voter in Pennsylvania – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. Our country needs a voice like John Fetterman’s in the U.S. Senate. If you agree, please consider making a donation, and make it monthly, if you can. Let's do this for John!
