Facing Race: A National Conference is officially SIX months away and will be hosted both in-person in Phoenix, Arizona, and online, November 17-19!
The largest multiracial, inter-generational gathering for organizers, educators, creatives, and other leaders, Facing Race is a one-of-a-kind collaborative space for racial justice movement making. For over 15 years, Race Forward has presented this incredible conference experience that has hosted over 4,000 attendees to convene, organize and mobilize for a more equitable future.
Facing Race will be taking place just weeks after the 2022 midterm election, a critical election for the true multicultural democracy we envision and work toward. We hope you'll be joining us this November to help chart the path for the future of the racial justice movement.
Race Forward is also searching for a talented filmmaker to create a short, docu-style film to be shared on our social media platforms and shown on the big screen at Facing Race! The theme of the short film should be a "love letter to the city of Phoenix." It should celebrate and uplift organizers working on the ground, artists and creatives of color, people of color owned businesses struggling in this new economy, and more. It can also tell more harrowing stories and focus entirely on the issues and the change that needs to happen. We want to highlight Black and Indigenous people. We want to celebrate LGBTQIA people. We want to uplift the work of immigration activists. (Closes tomorrow Friday, May 20)
Watch our conference announcement video and register today to join us this November. And for all the latest updates on Facing Race, make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
In Solidarity,
The Race Forward Team
