Dear John,
Abortion rights were on the ballot this primary election. Since the leak of the Supreme Court opinion showing the Justices’ intention of overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, the elections for state legislatures around the country have become more important than ever. The North Carolina General Assembly will determine abortion access and other human rights in North Carolina in the years to come. We're so glad that the voters in the primary overwhelmingly supported women who are champions of reproductive freedom making laws in North Carolina.

We are so excited that each of our Guardians won their primaries and will be the nominee to keep their seats in November. We are so lucky to have these women currently protecting abortion rights in the General Assembly! -
