We've got big news to share!

BYD is proud to announce that we've endorsed Public Advocate Jumaane Williams for governor and Ana Maria Archila for lieutenant governor in this year's Democratic primary election!

Both candidates have strong track records of advocating for the most vulnerable members of our community, and have bold plans to tackle the crises of housing, public safety and inequality impacting not just young people in Brooklyn, but residents across the state.

We look forward to supporting them!

Let's canvass in Assembly District 52!

Join BYD and two of our endorsed District Leader candidates, Seamus Campbell ([link removed]) and Cheryl Cook ([link removed]) in Assembly District 52, to celebrate the opening of their new campaign office! Afterwards, we'll canvass voters in the neighborhood.

Redistricting... 😩

As you've like
ly heard by now, New York's redistricting process gotten complicated. This week, a court-appointed special master unveiled a slate of newly-drawn congressional and State Senate districts ([link removed]) , three weeks after the state’s highest court declared the map drawn by state legislators unconstitutional.

Those lines may still be revised; the state court judge in upstate Steuben County who is overseeing the case has set a Friday deadline for approving the lines.

We'll continue to follow the story closely and keep you updated as we learn more.
