Hi, it's Mariana again, the Schools & Communities First campaign's administrator!

My family loves each other a lot, but we don't see eye-to-eye on everything, which means our Thanksgiving conversations get interesting, to say the least.

This Thanksgiving, between bites of turkey, stuffing, and even some tamales, I'm planning on telling them why I'm fighting for Schools & Communities First. You should, too!

Here's how I'm bringing everyone to the Thanksgiving table and sharing why Schools & Communities First will help us:

1. $12 billion: that's how much this initiative will reclaim every year to support California's schools and local communities.

2. Everyone pays their fair share: we all work hard and pay our taxes and our fair share -- it's time for corporations to do the same. Thanksgiving is about giving back and helping our communities succeed.

3. Our coalition's diversity: students, educators, parents, small business owners, faith leaders, community activists and thousands more across California -- all of us have come together to help give our communities the resources and the investments they deserve.

If your family members or friends are interested in supporting our campaign, send them the link below to join our team committed to getting Schools & Communities First on the ballot in 2020.
