“If you’re as mad as I am, support the ballot measures that will protect women’s reproductive health care once and for all.”

Team,

Wendy Davis — a former legislator who once filibustered for abortion rights on the floor of the Texas legislature for more than 13 hours — has made it absolutely clear the ballot measure is our best hope to protect abortion access. Here’s her important and URGENT case for comprehensive ballot measure action at the state level:

Photo of Wendy Davis with a light blue line dividing photo and quote: "Because ballot initiatives let voters take matters into their own hands, they must be a central part of the comprehensive strategy to protect abortion rights wherever they are allowed." Light blue underline on the words "they they must be a central part of the comprehensive strategy to protect abortion rights"

FUEL THIS FIGHT

The Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade this summer, but friend, we STILL have a big opportunity to protect reproductive rights via the ballot measure. And that is exactly what we’re doing right now with our friends in Michigan as we work to identify more states where we can run successful repro rights campaigns this November!

To fuel more work just like this in *every* community that wants to put reproductive rights on their ballot and codify Roe (even if Congress won’t), will you contribute now, team?

Yes, Roe v. Wade might not provide protection for safe, legal reproductive care in the future. But with grassroots support, we can still secure abortion rights state-by-state. That’s why we’re preparing now to launch full-scale ballot measure initiatives in as many communities as we can.

So, as Wendy said, “If you’re as mad as I am, support the ballot measures that will protect women’s reproductive health care once and for all.”
