When I heard that the Supreme Court was set to undo 50 years of progress by reversing its decision on Roe v. Wade , I was speechless.

To rip away the right to choose after half a century, after countless marches, after we thought that autonomy over our own bodies was protected by the highest law. It’s unthinkable.

The Obamas urged people to write their representatives. Senator Schumer demanded that Congress codify Roe v. Wade into law.

But what did Congresswoman Lauren Boebert do?

She used the moment to make fun of trans people:

If you’re surprised – WAKE UP!

The Republican Party has been on a rampage, stripping us of our rights: from voter suppression, to “Don’t Say Gay”, and now this!

So what can we do about it? We can defeat the loudest, most extreme Republicans like Lauren Boebert and elect common-sense Democrats who will defend our rights to control our own bodies, to vote for our leaders, and to proudly be ourselves.
