Last Thursday, members of the Brooklyn Young Democrats voted to endorse Emily Gallagher ([link removed]) and Genesis Aquino ([link removed]) , two excellent candidates vying for seats in the State Assembly in Brooklyn.

Genesis and Emily are running for public office because they care about their communities and their city, and we are proud to support them. Keep tabs on your inbox for opportunities to help them win their races in the weeks and months ahead!

In the meantime, we hope you'll join us Wednesday, December 4 for a free screening of Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook, a new documentary that chronicles efforts to suppress voting rights in the U.S.

We're co-hosting the evening with Unified Political Association, the New Kings Democrats, and the Shirley Chisholm Democratic Club. The screening will take place at 6:30 pm at SUNY Downstate, 450 Clarkson Avenue (Lecture Hall 2) in Brooklyn.
