Everyone Deserves the Right to Make Decisions About Their Own Bodies

We stand in solidarity with the millions of people across the country who are frightened that their reproductive rights will be significantly limited if Roe v. Wade is overturned.  We also stand in solidarity with the millions of people across the country who are worried that a panoply of other rights will be lost under the putative reasoning leading to Roe v. Wade's downfall.

Everyone should have the right to make decisions about their own bodies. And in the face of injustice, we believe that everyone has the right, and the responsibility, to protest.

Here are two ways we’re showing up into this moment:

  1. To support all those on the front lines at protests -- we’re bringing back our conflict de-escalation in protest spaces training -- for free. The 60-minute interactive training teaches you how to de-escalate counter-protesters so that hate and harassment don’t escalate into violence.
  2. History has taught us that when our policymakers spew sexist rhetoric -- everyday folks feel emboldened to spew it too. In anticipation of a rise in street harassment, we’re offering the following free Stand Up Against Street Harassment trainings:

You can also check out this article written by our very own, Co-founder and Executive Director, Emily May, and our PR and Online Harassment Coordinator, Ana Velasquez, that provides a guide on insight on our conflict de-escalation tools in protest spaces.

Right To Be will meet this moment by supporting those who are rising up to defend our human rights. You have the right to SPEAK UP, the right to BE YOU, and we will be by your side along the way.

With love,
