Joan Bavaria was a pioneer of social investing, using her vision and passion to help catalyze change in the capital markets. Among other endeavors, she founded Trillium Asset Management and Ceres; her influence is still reflected by their efforts today. In 2008, Ceres and Trillium Asset Management created the Joan Bavaria Award in Joan's honor, after she lost her prolonged battle with cancer. The award is presented annually by Ceres and Trillium Asset Management to recognize a unique investor or NGO leader who is working to transform the capital markets into a system that balances economic prosperity with social and environmental concerns. The ISSB’s Disclosure Standards: An Evolution in Sustainability and Climate Reporting

The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) published its first set of draft reporting standards in March. These represent the ISSB’s first step toward establishing a global baseline of sustainability reporting. taking place at the New York Stock Exchange in May. The agenda is designed to approach the energy industry through the investor lens, examining the sustainability of the business model, with a particular focus on the business resilience and competitive positioning of energy from a long term perspective to win over and educate the generalist investor. In the wake of COP26, we will explore how institutional investors can better engage with O&G operators to help them to implement a strategy that will enable them to meet their methane emissions reduction & net zero targets, in line with the long term goals of the Paris Agreement.
