Today, I filed to run for another term to represent Louisville in the United States Congress. I went to Congress to further Louisville’s values, not to fight a President intent on destroying them.

Our nation faces pressing challenges that need our response. From tackling our climate crisis and fixing our broken immigration system, to repairing our crumbling infrastructure, reducing prescription drug prices, and addressing our gun violence epidemic, there is so much work to do.
 
The future can’t and won’t wait. As Chairman of the House Budget Committee, I plan to continue to use my platform to focus Congress on the economic impacts of our rapidly changing world. In the coming year, I will do all I can to bring about real positive change for our community, commonwealth, and country – and in the next Congress, if not sooner, I look forward to working with a new President who will defend our democracy and join us in advancing our nation’s priorities.

I will continue the fight in Congress, but I need your help. Please join me in this effort to bring Louisville’s values to Washington.
