I’m sure you, like I am, are feeling the heavy weight of recent events. The direct attack on women’s rights here at home and Putin’s ongoing brutal assault on innocent civilian lives in Ukraine are chilling and horrifying.

And I want to be clear: these events are not unconnected. We are facing a watershed moment for democracy both here at home and around the world.

Anti-democratic forces are more determined than ever to impose their extremist agenda and reverse the advancement of democratic values, freedom, and policies that are not in line with their right-wing program.

We cannot let them succeed. That's why today I'm asking for your support of our fight to hold this Senate seat, our Democratic Majority in the House, and pick up two critical Democratic seats in the Senate on election day. [[link removed]]

Contribute $3 [[link removed]]It’s no coincidence that in less than two weeks the same forces of intolerance and pro-Trump authoritarianism that assaulted our Capitol and our democracy on January 6th will be convening one of the largest conservative gatherings ever in Hungary — a country led by Europe’s most authoritarian head of state, Victor Orban.

Orban is Putin’s only remaining ally in Europe. He has opposed European sanctions on Russian gas, announced Hungary will continue receiving nuclear fuel from Russia, and refused to criticize Putin directly for his war crimes.

As big and small ‘D’ democrats it’s up to us make sure that Republicans and their far right allies are held accountable for their active support for extremists and extremism here at home and abroad. And that accountability must come at the ballot box.

We must spend every day between now and November 8 ringing the alarm bells about the monumental stakes and organizing to get out the vote.
