John,
Election Day is TOMORROW, Saturday, May 7th, for the Constitutional and Local
Election. Many propositions and candidates are on the ballot,
including in local races, like school districts, utility districts, water districts, and others. Additionally, every registered Texas voter will have
the opportunity to vote on two proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution relating to property taxes. Because this is a local election,
your polling location may be different than where you normally go to vote. |
Both of these important constitutional amendments were considered by the Texas Legislature last session and supported by
Republican legislators for the tax relief they provide to Texans.
- Proposition 1
allows the school property taxes of disabled individuals and the elderly to be frozen and lowered as the state’s share of public education
funding increases.
- Proposition 2 increases the residence homestead exemption for school
property taxes from $25,000 to $40,000.
If you are proud of the work the Republican Party of Texas is doing to Keep Texas Red, please consider supporting our efforts
today by donating $10, $25, $50, or more to help us elect conservative Republicans to offices across the state!
Thank you for
being an active voter and for being involved in politics in your community, school district, and state! The future of Texas depends upon
freedom-loving patriots such as yourself staying engaged and taking action to keep Texas the greatest state in the union.
Join your
fellow patriots and go VOTE tomorrow!
