It’s official, John. After Donald Trump endorsed radical anti-choicer J.D. Vance, he officially won the GOP nomination for Senate. 

During his rally, Donald Trump called me “dangerous” to Republicans “in a tough race” and threw his support behind my GOP opponent, J.D. Vance. Now, that support has translated into him winning the GOP primary.

Ohio will determine Senate control, and we cannot let this seat fall into the hands of an out-of-touch millionaire and Silicon Valley hack who supports overturning Roe v. Wade. Just look what he posted on Twitter the day of the leak:

J.D. Vance supports Ohio’s extreme heartbeat legislation and other dangerous bills across the country that allow people to sue anyone who helps someone get an abortion. He even called pregnancy from rape, “inconvenient.” 

It’s despicable and we can’t let him anywhere near the United States Senate. Our only choice to protect reproductive rights is to win this race and expand our Democratic Senate majority. 

We’re beating Vance in the polls by a single percentage point. But Trump’s endorsement will bring a new wave of outside money and vicious attacks. We have to fight back today.
