Dobbs Leak needs to be investigated swiftly – During oral arguments Justice Sotomayor mentioned the political stench that overturning a past decisions like Roe would have. And yet the particular political stench hanging over the court currently is in the form of a leaked first draft opinion in perhaps the biggest case the court has heard in 50 years: Dobbs v Jackson women's health. While it appears that a win is imminent for the pro-life movement and Roe is indeed headed to history's dustbin, the fact that the leak occurred at all calls the Supreme Court's integrity into question in a way we've never seen before. The consequences for the source must be swift and severe. The leak was a naked political act designed to change minds and perhaps, election outcomes. Biden Takes Deserved Heat for ‘Disinformation’ Board and Its Politically Charged Director - President Joe Biden’s homeland security chief last week announced his agency’s new “Disinformation Governance Board” to tell Americans what is true and false. In a welcome development, the Biden administration is increasingly frustratedas many observers ridicule the move and refer to the board as an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.” “The spread of disinformation can affect border security … and public trust in our democratic institutions,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a written statement Wednesday on its new Disinformation Governance Board. Translation: If this government doesn’t step in and change the narrative drastically, Americans might see what’s going on at the southern border, among other things, and stop trusting us entirely (which may be long overdue). Where’s Biden on Growing Nuclear Threats? - As Russia’s unjust war on Ukraine slogs on, the world keeps spinning, including unwelcome nuclear saber-rattling from a litany of U.S. foes that has reached a deeply unsettling din worth noting. Understandably, the conflict in Ukraine is drawing a significant amount of foreign policy attention these days. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is the largest conflict in Europe since World War II. DHS created ‘disinformation governance’ team to track election misinformation – The left can no longer use COVID restrictions or now, seemingly Twitter, to mislabel and hide legitimate information American voters should have in casting their ballots. Instead, they are standing up this board to declare what the left believes is mis- or dis-information. Policing disinformation is not remotely the mission of the Department of Homeland Security. Biden’s Open Border Chief Gets Hill Drubbing - Words matter, and when Biden repeatedly promised to extend amnesty, to shut down Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and most famously “immediately surge to the border all those people seeking asylum,” millions of soon-to-be illegal aliens heard him loud and clear. They know well enough that all it takes is to show up and say the magic words of “asylum” and they will be let in and never removed. Under Biden, the famous Field of Dreams quote has morphed from “if you build it, they will come” to “if you destroy our border security, they will come.”Implementation of Biden’s open-borders agenda has been the primary responsibility of Mayorkas. With such responsibility comes accountability.
