Democrats continue to grandstand against American energy without seeking to actually fix anything, as shown by their most recent dragging of energy sector executives before the House Energy and Commerce Committee to “investigate” whether these companies were “price gouging.”
This is ridiculous theater, and should be treated as nothing else. There are inflationary pressures on gas prices like never before thanks to President Biden's anti-energy policies.
If Democrats want the price of gas to go down, we need real, market-based solutions, not gaslighting of the American people.
From his first day in office President Biden has been an enemy to American energy.. From canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, to ending leases for drilling on federal land, the President has been so hostile to production, you could be forgiven for thinking he wanted this kind of crisis.
The fact remains that by only engaging in cheap, base-pleasing performances, Democrats are failing to actually address the crisis at hand.
If Democrats want to address the energy shortage in this country the answer is obvious—roll back the absurd, restrictive Biden administration policies that are crippling energy production in the United States.
But unfortunately, Democrats are so beholden to the progressive, “green" agenda that they can't conceive of backing off from it. That's why we have to win big in November.
