My name is L. Louise Lucas, I am the President Pro Tempore of the Virginia Senate, Chairwoman of the Committee that deals with abortion rights, and a Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia.

The news last night made me angry. It made me furious. I promise you that as long as I am the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and as long as I chair the Committee on Health and Education, Senate Democrats will stand as a brick wall to protect reproductive rights here in the Commonwealth.

But — we only hold a one-seat majority in the Senate. That means the fate of abortion access in Virginia hangs in the balance. The only way we can make sure that Virginians still have access to the healthcare they deserve, that is their right, is to protect the Brick Wall Caucus in the Virginia Senate. That’s where you come in.

Will you split a $10 or $20 contribution, or whatever you can, between the Democratic Party of Virginia and my campaign?
