We knew this was coming, yet it’s still shocking. Last night, Politico published a leaked document revealing that the Republican-controlled Supreme Court has already voted to overturn Roe v. Wade. Make no mistake: this is a crisis and our worst fears coming true.

I am angry that generations of women fought tirelessly to secure access to abortion and now my daughter’s generation is seeing these protections erased. We are forced to carry on a fight that should have been settled long ago.

If you are as pissed off as I am, I hope you’ll channel your anger by rushing an emergency split contribution to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Together we can keep fighting to protect abortion rights by holding Republicans accountable and electing Democrats who will uphold choice.

This decision is a stark reminder that elections have consequences. After winning in 2016, Donald Trump and Republicans built the 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court for exactly this reason. Democrats may have narrow majorities in Congress and a Democrat in the White House, but right now it’s not enough to stop the extreme Supreme Court majority.

We must elect more Democrats at every level who are willing to do whatever it takes to uphold federal reproductive rights and take on the Supreme Court. Time is running out.
