Hi John ,
Today is May Day, otherwise known as International Workers Day; it’s a day taking on new meaning this year.
For decades, workers have been told that we have to settle for less. Workers have been toiling away to prop up the wealthy at the expense of our health, our homes, and our livelihoods. But, right now, across the country, we are witnessing a much-needed, worker-powered, and worker-led uprising not seen for generations.
In communities across Nevada’s First District and the country, workers have seen their wages stagnant for decades while the wealthiest 1% have had their profits hit an all-time high.
That’s why I am so proud to be the only person in my race that is not taking a cent of money from union-busters, real estate developers, casinos, or the mining industry.

I believe that a better pathway forward is possible. I believe in a future where every single worker has a dignified job that pays a living wage and that has safe working conditions. I believe in a future where no worker is forced to stay in an abusive workplace simply for healthcare.
And I believe in the power of unions and worker solidarity to make this future possible.
We know the power of workers when we come together to demand more for ourselves because we’ve seen it throughout history. Workers led the charge for an 8-hour workday, overtime pay, and against child labor laws, but there is still so much work to do. We need leaders in Congress who will take our struggle straight to Washington D.C. and put pro-labor laws on the books.
I’m not fighting for corporations, and I will never take a dime of their money because I want your support, not Amazon’s.
Can you chip in $27 to help me replace a corporate Democrat? [[link removed]]
In Solidarity,
Amy
