The Gingerbread Extravaganza is almost here!
It gets us every year.
Families with small children excitedly open the doors to the Gingerbread Extravaganza. When they see thousands of balloons, a full candy buffet, and Santa Claus they stop in their tracks, trying to take it all in. It is the best feeling to make that magic for children during the holidays. It simply never gets old.

The 6th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at Fruzen Intermediate School in Beloit. Families decorate gingerbread houses to take home, take photos with Santa, and enjoy lots of merriment as we kick off the holiday season. Every year, this event sells out. This year, we’re expecting more than 300 guests.

The 2019 Gingerbread Extravaganza is presented by Alliant Energy, Beloit Health System, Big Radio, First National Bank & Trust, Glitz & Go, Mercyhealth, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Wisconsin Management.

Thanks to community support, the magic of the Gingerbread Extravaganza lasts longer than a single day. Proceeds from Community Action’s signature family event benefit our poverty-fighting programs in Rock and Walworth counties. In 2018, we helped 5,034 people on a pathway out of poverty. The Gingerbread Extravaganza helps to provide job training for unemployed fathers, emergency shelter for families and prescription assistance for senior citizens among many other services.
