John,

Have you seen the headlines coming out of Georgia?
Trump loyalist Herschel Walker – a former NFL running back, noted liar and scam artist(1), and domestic abuser(2) – is clobbering the competition in the Georgia Republican primary for U.S. Senate.
According to a recent poll by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 66% of likely Republican primary voters are backing Walker. His nearest competitor, Ag Commissioner Gary Black, comes in a distant second with just 7% support.
The primary looks to be in the bag for Walker, which means Senator Raphael Warnock will have to face him in the general election. And all polls up to this point show a contest between Warnock and Walker to be extremely competitive, with some polls giving Warnock a slight edge and others giving Walker as much as a 10-point lead.
That means we’ve got to give it everything we’ve got to keep Georgia’s Senate seat in Democratic hands …
… and out of the hands of a man who boasts of a “deep, personal friendship” with Donald Trump, whom Trump calls “very loyal.”
Will you rush $20.22 or more today to help keep Georgia’s Senate seat BLUE?
If we lose this Senate seat, it’s likely we’ll lose our majority. We need your support today to make sure that doesn’t happen!
Thanks for everything,
--The No Dem Left Behind team
(1) Walker recently confessed he never finished college, despite having repeatedly stated otherwise in his campaign materials and public appearances. He has also claimed publicly to have hundreds of employees and $80 million in sales at his chicken business, but when he applied for COVID-19 relief from the federal government, he reported only 8 employees and $1.5 million in sales. The AJC also reported “a string of defaults, settlements and lawsuits alleging that Walker and his businesses owed millions of dollars in unpaid loans.”
(2) According to a July 23, 2021 AP report, Walker’s ex-wife secured a restraining order 4 years after their divorce because he pointed a gun at her head and screamed “I’m going to blow your f’ing brains out,” choked her unconscious, and repeatedly stalked, harassed, and threatened her and her new partner.
