In the spirit of inspiring hopeful action for personal and social transformation, everyone's invited to Movies & Meaning, February 21-23, 2020, in Asheville, NC. This annual festival gathers at the intersection of cinema, storytelling, community and a better world. Our festivals have been inspirational events - people tell us that their lives have been changed.
Each year, Movies & Meaning brings together innovative artists whose work spans spirituality, storytelling, poetry, and activism. This year, our special guests include:
- Beloved writer Kathleen Norris, New York Times bestselling author of Dakota, The Cloister Walk, and Amazing Grace.
- Dynamic poet Buddy Wakefield, three-time World Poetry Slam Champion.
- Contemplative activist Micky ScottBey Jones, the "Justice Doula."
- Irish storyteller and activist Gareth Higgins, author of How Movies Helped Save My Soul and Cinematic States.
