The very last thing the United States needs right now is another tax hike. With inflation running rampant and gas prices through the roof, another force on American families’ would be unacceptable.
But Democrats don’t seem to understand that. President Biden’s recent budget proposes 36 tax increases, including 11 new taxes on energy. This is pure nonsense. We need to cut spending and cut taxes, not increase both.
President Biden and Democrats in Congress are convinced that the solution to what ails the nation is always more spending and more taxes.
Progressives will often claim that they will only tax the top percent of earners, and leave middle and lower income families alone. But that is not true. The kinds of enormous spending increases they want to pass can only be funded by taxing everyone more.
That’s why we have to stand up not only to the increased taxes, but to the spending that creates them. Sadly, as long as Democrats control Washington, they will continue to try and ram through immense spending plans and raise taxes to fund them.
