Last Sunday, Bernie was on the road. He traveled to Staten Island, New York, to meet with the Amazon workers who made history by organizing the first union at an Amazon facility. Later in the day, he flew into Richmond, Virginia to meet with Starbucks workers who are organizing shop after shop throughout the country.

In New York, he was joined by his friend Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Bernie congratulated the Amazon workers who courageously took on one of the most profitable corporations in this country owned by Jeff Bezos, one of the wealthiest people in America.

While in Staten Island, Bernie and Alexandria had the opportunity of meeting with the key organizers of the Amazon Labor Union and heard their input on how we can continue working together to advance unionization efforts at Amazon.

Later that day, Bernie spoke in Richmond, Virginia to 750 workers at a rally celebrating the unionization efforts of Starbucks workers. These workers, taking on vicious anti-union attacks, became the very first to ever organize Starbucks shops.

At a private meeting with key Starbucks organizers, Bernie learned about the horrendous wages, benefits and working conditions at Starbucks coffee shops. He commended Starbucks workers for their tireless efforts fighting for justice and dignity on the job, and for helping to revitalize the labor movement in America.

All across this country workers are organizing, going out on strike, and standing up for economic justice in a way that we have not seen for years. They are leading the political revolution that will transform our country.

What these union organizing efforts are all about — and what our movement is about — is whether we are going to have an economy that works for all, and not just the wealthy few.

Now more than ever, we must stay committed to that struggle.

Thank you for reading.

There is much more work that needs to be done to advance the needs of the working class of this country. Bernie cannot do it all alone, which is why we're asking:

Can you please make a contribution to show you stand with Bernie? Together we must continue the struggle to create an economy that works for ALL of us, not just the one percent.
