John,

One of the primary responsibilities of Pennsylvania’s Lieutenant Governor is to chair the Board of Pardons. The Board has the enormous responsibility of reviewing criminal cases and making recommendations of clemency, or mercy, to the Governor. In other words, the next Lieutenant Governor has the power to undo the damage done by our unjust criminal “justice” system.

There is overwhelming data and evidence that justice in Pennsylvania is not blind. Discrimination based on race, nationality, ethnicity, and so much more runs rampant through our criminal justice system, and I’m running for Lieutenant Governor to make change.

I’m the only former civil rights attorney in the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor here in Pennsylvania, and I’ve fought to hold law enforcement accountable by sponsoring a bill to appoint a special prosecutor in cases where deadly force is used by police.

I believe Pennsylvania can lead the nation in criminal justice reform, which is why I’m running for Lieutenant Governor. My primary is in 21 days, so I’m counting on folks like you. Watch my campaign’s ad about reforming our broken system, then pitch in to my Primary Victory Fund to support my campaign. [[link removed]]
