Hi there,
One thing we know about Senator Emily Randall is that she is always committed to our local community. She grew up here, attending Sunnyslope Elementary and South Kitsap High School. She has spent the last four years in Olympia doing everything she can to help our local communities, from securing money for senior centers and veterans to reducing the tolls on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
What we also know about the campaign this year is that special interest groups and out-of-state corporations are going to spend a lot of money trying to defeat Emily and flip the majority in the legislature to Republicans. Four years ago, they spent $1,130,310 attacking her, and already this cycle big companies like Chevron and Comcast have started giving big to do it again.
As much as we know Emily will always fight for the communities here, we know that big fossil fuel companies or telecom conglomerates don’t. They don’t care about better schools, more connected broadband, good-paying jobs in our rural areas, more affordable health care access, cleaner air and water, or protecting Puget Sound. At a time of record corporate profit, they care about protecting their bottom lines, not about protecting people here in the 26th District.
This is why we need to have Emily’s back NOW. They are already gearing up for a fight, and we have to be prepared. Last time, Emily won by just 104 votes, so everything we do right now will make a difference.
We are just 4 days away from our April deadline. This is the last deadline before candidates have to file, so people will be watching to see if Emily has the support she needs to compete with special interest money. Since she doesn’t take any corporate PAC money, she needs grassroots supporters to stand with her.
We need to raise $10,000 from grassroots online supporters before Saturday to keep pace. Can you help us get there? A donation of any amount today will help us take a step towards that goal and make sure Emily has a campaign that can win in November. [[link removed]]
Thank you for your consideration,
Team Emily Randall
