This November, we're going to have the opportunity to defend our country and show those who would destabilize it that the American ideals of democracy and accountability are here to stay.

With only six months to go until the midterm elections, here are two key elements of our democracy that we are fighting to protect:

> The House Majority: Because Democrats hold the House Majority, the House Select Committee on January 6 has continued their investigation into the insurrection and the people around it. If we lose the House Majority, our country will get Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, and it's almost certain that the investigation would be brought to a treasonous halt.

>The Senate Majority: With a 50/50 split in the Senate, we can't afford to lose even one seat and let Mitch McConnell and the Republican party undo all of the progress that has been made since President Biden's election. We need a Senate that will fight against authoritarianism, not embrace it and place it on a golden pedestal.

Defending both majorities is essential if we want to keep accountability in our halls of government and ensure that we will never again see a state-sponsored coup on Capitol Hill. But we're going to need all the help we can get if we're going to face off against the Treason Caucus's Trump-sponsored dollars and dark money.
