Hi there, John, it's Abby. Just reaching out for some input on what keeps you up at night as we continue this race to finally defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley. You see, one of the biggest lessons I was taught early on in public service is that you show up, but you also listen. To win, to do this right, we need you.

There's so much at stake in this election: women's health care, prescription drug pricing, access to a living wage, protections for our unions, the strength of our democracy, affordable health care – the list goes on. I know there is so much more that keeps America up at night.

So-called leaders like my opponent, Sen. Grassley, aren't doing their jobs, so Iowans worry about whether our jobs are secure; whether we'll be able to afford our prescription drugs this month; whether we'll have access to the right to choose; whether we'll be able to pay for our bills, rent and new clothes for our kids this month.

In his 47 years in Washington, Sen. Chuck Grassley has forgotten where he’s come from and he’s failed to address these critical issues – the ones that matter most to families across Iowa. Iowans deserve a senator and a working Senate that make them feel safe and help them sleep soundly.

Tackling problems like these are why I'm running for U.S. Senate and why it's so important that I hear from people like you. You see, the only way to truly make progress on these issues is by listening to the people who are dealing with the effects – the people who are up right now worrying about them.
