Q1 fundraising numbers were just released, and it looks like it’s going to
be a tough fight in PA-12, where Justice Democrat Summer Lee raised just
half of what corporate Democrat Steve Irwin brought in, despite her
polling way ahead of him.

While Summer Lee’s campaign is powered by grassroots small-dollar donors,
corporate Democrat Steve Irwin is backed by contributions from the oil and
gas industry, lobbyists, and Wall Street. Irwin also has the backing of a
right-wing Super PAC.

$3 contribution directly to her campaign.

And we just received news that AIPAC, the right-wing Super PAC that has
endorsed over 100 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election
results and has smeared AOC, Ilhan, Rashida, and Ayanna since they’ve been
in Congress, is attacking Summer on TV.

There’s a lot of money trying to stop Summer right now. Here’s part of the
attack ad:

How much a candidate is able to spend in an election is a significant
indicator of that candidate's chance at winning. While Summer Lee had a
strong quarter of grassroots fundraising, she is up against a corporate
Democratic primary opponent and Republican-endorsing Super PACs spending
massive amounts of money.

[ [link removed] ]Can you chip in directly to Summer’s campaign right now to help her
combat attacks from Super PACs and the corporate Democratic establishment?

It’s no surprise that Steve Irwin is outraising Summer Lee. Irwin got rich
overseeing investments in oil and gas companies and has received campaign
contributions from corporate lobbyists and fossil fuel CEOs.

Summer won’t accept a dime of corporate PAC money because she knows that
you can’t fight for the people while representing corporate interests.
She’s been endorsed by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and other
progressive leaders because she is the best candidate in this race, but in
order to win, she’ll need to overcome a huge fundraising gap.
